Cat 5E RJ45 Inline Coupler provides performance of up to 1.0Gbps (transmission speed) at 100MHz frequency and is suitable for most varieties of Ethernet over twisted pair up to 2.5GBASE-T but more commonly runs at 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) speeds. Cat 5e Inline Coupler is also used to carry other signals such as telephone and video.

CAT-5e Inline Coupler connector is a twisted pair cable designed to provide high-speed, high-signal-to-noise ratio signal transmission lines. This kind of transmission line is generally used in the internal wiring of the computer network, such as connecting the computer to the Ethernet, or connecting the computer to the computer, connecting the hub to the router, etc. CAT-5e 8P8C connector is an enhanced version of Cat 5e modular connector with added protection against far-end crosstalk. Cat 5e RJ45 Inline Coupler and its plug can fully use and cooperate with 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet. The maximum length of CAT-5e RJ45 8P8C Inline Coupler transmission line is 100 meters (328 feet); the longest actual length on the horizontal plane is 90 meters.
